About Me

My name is Florian Charier but people call me Flo.

I am from France but I moved to Northern Ireland in 2017. I am living in Newcastle County Down in between the Mourne Mountains and the Irish Sea.

I started surfing in Portrush and fell in love with the cold water surfing, the lovely empty beaches and the stormy weather. So, I decided to start building my first board straight after surfing for the first time!! It was an 8ft funboard, long, wide and heavy but absolutely amazing to surf!

After one amazing summer of surfing this handmade board in the west coast of Ireland, I decided to make myself a new board. Then I made one for my girlfriend and then another one for my best friend.

With my boards getting and looking more professional I decided to start my own surfboard business.

I am only working part-time making surfboard because the other half of the time, since Covid started, I am a Health Care Assistant, helping vulnerable people and the elderly with daily tasks. It was important for me to help during this hard time.

I am extremely passionate and I put time and dedication into my boards and customer can see that !! I make them as durable as I can to resist the Irish Stormy weather or lovely summer days on the North Coast of Ireland.
